Before Installation
- Confirm time and date of installers arrival.
- Confirm areas which installers will start.
- Clear as much as possible from installation area (all small items, breakable, electronics,
and antiques must be removed prior to installers arrival). Our installers
will help with large items you are unable to move.
- Vacuuming existing carpeting will help to minimize dust during removal of carpet and pad.
- If you are painting your wood work prior to installatio, allow a minimum of seven days for
paint to cure. Our installers are as careful as possible. However, due to rough carpet backing
some touch up may be needed upon completion of installation.
- Have your driveway available for installers to back in as close as possible to the home.
- Make sure heat is available to home - thermostat should be set at 72°.
During Installation
- Keep children and pets clear of installation areas to avoid injury.
- Expect dust during the removal of existing carpet and pad.
Upon Completion of Installation
- We will completely vacuum or sweep and remove all debris associated with the installation.
- Expect carpet to "blossom" in texture and color over the next 3 to 4 weeks.
- New carpet odor will dissipate over time. You may choose to open windows, allowing air to flow through your home.
- This may be a good time to change your home air filter.
